About the Desi / Punjabi Calendar
The Desi calendar, also called the Bikrami or Punjabi calendar, is a traditional solar calendar used across Punjab in Pakistan and India. It is based on the ancient Vikram Samvat system. The desi year begins with the month of Vaisakh (around April 14, known as Baisakhi).
