The anticipated cost for Hajj pilgrims in the upcoming year is set to reach Rs. 1.1 million, as outlined in the forthcoming Hajj Policy for 2024. This policy has already been submitted to the federal cabinet for its approval, ensuring a comprehensive framework for the pilgrimage journey.
As per insider reports from a local media outlet, the government has indeed earmarked a sum of Rs. 1.1 million per pilgrim, making this a significant financial commitment for those embarking on this sacred journey. Families traveling together will be afforded separate accommodations, a thoughtful arrangement to facilitate a more comfortable experience.
In the spirit of collaboration, the Saudi government has allocated a total of 179,201 slots for Pakistani pilgrims in the next Hajj season. Half of these slots have been reserved for those participating in the government scheme, while the remaining 50% are designated for private scheme participants.
A noteworthy development in the Hajj arrangements is the extended duration of the pilgrimage for Pakistani nationals. According to sources within the Religious Ministry, pilgrims from Pakistan will now have the opportunity to engage in the Hajj for a duration spanning 20 to 25 days. This marks a significant change, enhancing the spiritual journey for many.
Recognizing the challenges of securing foreign exchange for this sacred undertaking, the government has decided to continue offering the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme in the coming year. Under this scheme, expenses for the Hajj are collected in dollars, offering accessibility to approximately 10,000 individuals, thus ensuring a more manageable path to this profound spiritual experience.
