Indus Motor Company (IMC) has joined the ranks of car manufacturers reducing prices in Pakistan, following Kia Pakistan and MG Motors. This decision comes in the wake of the strengthening of the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against the US Dollar (USD) over the past few weeks, as anticipated. Effective from October 24, 2023, IMC’s latest price adjustments present a significant shift in the market.
Toyota’s Yaris series
Toyota’s Yaris series, for instance, has undergone a noticeable transformation in pricing. The Toyota Yaris 1.3 MT LO, previously priced at Rs. 4,499,000, now stands at a more accessible Rs. 4,399,000 after a substantial reduction of Rs. 100,000.
Similarly, the Toyota Yaris 1.3 CVT LO has seen its price decline from Rs. 4,789,000 to Rs. 4,689,000, marking a similar reduction. The higher-end Yaris 1.3 MT Hi and Yaris 1.3 CVT Hi have both experienced a price reduction of Rs. 100,000, with their new prices being Rs. 4,659,000 and Rs. 4,899,000, respectively.
Furthermore, the Yaris 1.3 CVT Aero has followed suit, now available at Rs. 5,099,000, down from its former price of Rs. 5,199,000.
Moving on to the Yaris 1.5 series, the manual transmission version that previously cost Rs. 5,429,000 has dropped to a more competitive Rs. 5,309,000, marking a substantial decrease of Rs. 120,000.
The Yaris 1.5 CVT and Yaris 1.5 CVT Aero have also seen their prices diminish by Rs. 120,000 each, bringing their new prices to Rs. 5,649,000 and Rs. 5,849,000, respectively.
Corolla Series
In the realm of the Corolla series, the 1.6 MT variant now comes at a more budget-friendly Rs. 5,969,000, down from its previous price of Rs. 6,169,000.
The 1.6 CVT has undergone a similar reduction, now priced at Rs. 6,559,000, having previously stood at Rs. 6,769,000.
Furthermore, the Corolla 1.6 CVT SR and the Corolla 1.8 CVT have also seen their prices decrease, with reductions of Rs. 240,000 and Rs. 230,000, bringing their new prices to Rs. 7,189,000 and Rs. 6,889,000, respectively.
Similarly, the Corolla 1.8 CVT SR BLK has dropped from Rs. 7,799,000 to Rs. 7,549,000, marking a substantial price cut of Rs. 250,000.
Toyota Hilux Revo series
As for the robust Toyota Hilux Revo series, the Hilux E has witnessed a notable price drop of Rs. 400,000, now available at Rs. 11,039,000, down from its prior price of Rs. 11,439,000.
The Hilux Revo G has similarly experienced a substantial reduction of Rs. 450,000, resulting in a new price of Rs. 11,959,000, while the Hilux Revo G has seen a significant cut of Rs. 470,000, with a new price of Rs. 12,549,000.
The Revo V AT 2.8 and Revo V AT Rocco have both undergone considerable price decreases, with new prices of Rs. 13,849,000 and Rs. 14,419,000, down from their previous prices of Rs. 14,389,000 and Rs. 15,179,000, respectively.
The Revo GR S has also experienced a noteworthy reduction of Rs. 790,000, bringing its new price to Rs. 15,359,000 from its previous rate of Rs. 16,149,000.
Toyota Fortuner lineup
In the Toyota Fortuner lineup, the 2.7 G Petrol version now stands at Rs. 14,499,000, down from its former price of Rs. 15,809,000, representing a substantial reduction of Rs. 1,310,000.
Similarly, the 2.7 V Petrol has seen its price slashed by Rs. 1,100,000, now available at Rs. 16,999,000 from its previous price of Rs. 18,099,000.
The Fortuner 2.8 Sigma 5 Diesel has undergone a significant price cut, with its new price being Rs. 17,999,000, compared to its previous rate of Rs. 19,079,000, representing a reduction of Rs. 1,080,000.
Lastly, the Fortuner Legender Diesel has dropped from Rs. 20,129,000 to Rs. 18,999,000, marking a substantial price decrease of Rs. 1,130,000.
The Fortuner GRS has seen a noteworthy reduction of Rs. 1,190,000, with its new price being Rs. 19,899,000, down from its previous rate of Rs. 21,089,000. These price adjustments by Indus Motor Company provide an enticing opportunity for car enthusiasts in Pakistan to acquire their favorite Toyota vehicles at more affordable rates.
