Interest Free Bike Scheme
In Punjab, the education system got a big boost when Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz teamed up with the Bank of Punjab for a special project. They’re giving out 19,000 regular motorcycles and 1,000 electric bikes to students who need them. They’re choosing the students fairly through a random process. They’re making sure girls get a chance too, which is great for equality.
Out of the 19,000 regular motorcycles, they’re giving 11,676 to boys and 7,324 to girls. For electric bikes, 700 are for boys and 300 for girls. This way, both boys and girls have the same chance to get a ride to school, making it easier for them to focus on their studies.
Students are Eligible for Motorcycle Scheme
In Phase 1, if you’re a student who goes to a college or university that’s approved by HEC (Higher Education Commission), you might get a free motorcycle without having to pay any extra money. This is starting in Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
Eligibility Criteria for Interest Free Bike Scheme
Over 800,000 students in our area can get a chance to have their own transport. But there are rules: you have to be 18 or older, studying full-time at a college or university that HEC recognizes, and have a learner’s permit or driving license for a motorcycle.
