Right now, petrol costs about Rs267.34 per litre, and diesel is around Rs276.21 per litre. Before this, the prices went down by Rs14 for petrol and Rs13.50 for diesel, which helped people save money.
The government will tell everyone the new prices officially after 11 pm on December 31. But it’s hard to say for sure if prices will stay low because they depend on things happening worldwide, like how the value of money changes and the ups and downs of the global market.
